Emily Hunter

Childrens' Ministry Coordinator

Emily moved to Lubbock from Hobbs, NM in 1997.  After graduating from Texas Tech she worked in Austin, TX until God lead her as a Journeyman with the SBC to live and work among the Roma peoples in Northern Macedonia for two years, followed by a third year in college ministry at Virginia Tech.  After getting married and spending a brief nine years in the Permian Basin, God  brought her family (husband Jeff and three precious children) back to Lubbock.  Emily writes, “I am thrilled that our Lord has directed this new path into Children’s Ministry with Lakeridge Baptist.  After our first visit we knew immediately that this congregation was where we belong.  It is full and overflowing with genuine love and affection for Christ, God’s word and for each other.  God is going to use this church in a wonderful way and I am delighted He has invited me to be a part of it.”
